The red-naped ibis or the Indian Black Ibis is a species of ibis found in the plains of the Indian Subcontinent.
The bill morphology of Ibises suggests a remote tactile sensory system for prey detection. They can be seen foraging by probing the soil around lakes, marshes, riverbeds and irrigated farmlands.
