"The most beautiful moments in life are moments when you are expressing your joy, not when you are seeking it."- Sadguru
The arrival of birds in winter and their disappearance before the start of the breeding season is one of the most familiar aspects in the Indian bird calendar.
The Red-breasted Flycatcher is a small passerine bird that breeds in Eastern Europe and across central Asia and winters on the Indian subcontinent.
They prefer deciduous woodlands with availability of water and the stream in the Sinhagad valley provides them just that. Being one of the smallest flycatchers their drab colouration is a camouflage against birds of prey. The male wears an orange bib to add a dash of colour to his attire!
